About Us: Our Mission & Care Team

关于我们

Providing compassionate hospice care with dignity and respect throughout Los Angeles and Ventura County

我们的方法

国家临终关怀姑息治疗组织将临终关怀定义为一种以团队为导向的方法,提供专业的医疗护理、疼痛管理以及根据患者需求和愿望量身定制的情感和精神支持。支持也将延伸至患者的亲人。

At the center of Hospice is the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so. We provide home hospice care for patients in Los Angeles, Ventura County, Antelope Valley, and the San Fernando Valley.

Holistic Care

We provide more than just medical monitoring. Our team includes doctors, nurses, social workers, and spiritual counselors to support the whole person — body, mind, and spirit.

Care Where You Live

You can receive hospice care wherever you call home — a private residence, an assisted living facility, or a nursing home. We come to you.

You Can Always Leave

Patients can choose to leave hospice care at any time if their condition improves or if they wish to seek curative treatment again. There is no penalty.

Our Approach - Westlake Village Hospice

The Journey — When It's Time

Families often ask us 'When is the right time?' and 'Why is morphine being used?' These are the most compassionate questions a family can ask — and we honor every one of them.

When to Start

It is never 'too early' to have a conversation. Starting hospice early allows families to form a bond with their care team and ensures the patient's pain is managed before it becomes a crisis. Early enrollment consistently leads to better quality of life and more meaningful final months.

Comfort First: Why We Use Morphine

We use medications, including carefully titrated morphine, to manage breathlessness and pain — ensuring the patient remains peaceful and alert enough to spend quality time with loved ones. This is a science, not a sedation. Our nurses are specialists in finding the exact dose that relieves suffering without clouding the mind.

End-of-Life Guidance

We provide gentle guidance on what to expect during the final stages — including normal changes in eating, drinking, and sleeping patterns. You will never be alone in this process. Our nurses are available 24 hours a day to walk with you through every step.

Our Mission & Values

To provide the highest quality of end-of-life care, ensuring that every patient is treated with dignity, respect, and boundless compassion. We believe that the end of life is as sacred as the beginning, and deserves the same level of care, attention, and love.

Dignity

We honor the life and legacy of every individual, ensuring they feel valued and respected until the very end. We listen to their stories, respect their choices, and protect their privacy.

同情

We lead with our hearts, providing care that is not just clinical, but deeply human and empathetic. We treat every patient as if they were our own family member.

诚信

We operate with full transparency and honesty, earning the trust of families during their most vulnerable moments. We promise only what we can deliver, and we deliver what we promise.

卓越

We are committed to the highest standards of medical care. Our team engages in continuous learning to bring the best palliative practices to our patients.

社区

We are neighbors caring for neighbors. We are deeply rooted in the Westlake Village, Thousand Oaks, and LA County communities we serve.

管理

We manage our resources wisely to ensure we can continue to provide care for generations to come, regardless of the complexity of the case.
